Satisfaction of Training Education for Care Helper

Abstract
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate satisfaction of training education for care helpers who work for A city¡¯s senior long-term care center.

Methods : Participants were 258 care helpers who work for A city¡¯s senior long-term care center. Data were collected from 2010. 07. 26 to 2010. 08. 10. The data were analyzed using SPSS program and it analyzed frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA by the program.

Result : Highest ranked target range for general characteristic and characteristic related in education are female, 50s, married, and highest ranked education level is highschool graduated, the places for education are private education
centers, and the main reasons of choosing the private centers are distance of the centers and transportation. The reason for receiving an education from the centers is to find employment. The new 1st level class is a big part of numbers. The satisfactory of training education is lower than average, and satisfactory of lecturers is the highest, and the lowest turns up satisfactory of field training. The satisfactory of training education by general characteristic shows attentive difference according to age, education level, and material status. Also training centers, motivation for education, and reason for choosing education centers determines the satisfactory of training education by characteristic related to education.
Conclusion : The training education for care helpers should correct and supplement that is inadequate continuously so that rational care helper training education program should be operated to improve the satisfaction of training education.
